Fran Summerlin Histed
Fran has over 30 years
experience with training
and showing horses of all
levels. She has trained
and shown through 4th
level dressage, competing
successfully throughout
the Southeast. She has
evented extensively and
been instrumental in
training horses through the
Advanced level. She is a
member of USEA,
USEF, USDF, GDCTA,
BDCTA, and has been
the Coordinator of the
United States Eventing
Association's Area III
Young Riders.
Fran has been Chef
d'Equipe of the Area III
Young Rider's eventing
teams competing in the
North American Young
Rider's Championships in
2002 at Tempel Farm in
Wadsworth, Illinois, in
2003, in Bromont,
Canada, and in 2004,
again at Tempel Farm in
Wadsworth, Illinois.These
teams have consistently
been in the medals.
Many of Fran's previous mounts and students are now competing at the Intermediate and Advanced levels of eventing. One of her previous horses competed in 2004 at Olympics in Athens and at the Rolex CCI****. She has a great eye for potential and can spot an exceptional horse.
